The DGB International Division is based in Franschhoek in the heart of the Cape Winelands. The international sales team boasts over 15 executives located in all the major markets around the world.
DGB believes that to truly capitalise on the potential of each market it is critical to have a locally based sales person who speaks the language and understands the culture. For this reason the team of international sales people consists of 13 nationalities and speaks over 15 languages. The team is headed up by Greg Guy who is based in Franschhoek and has over 20 years’ experience in the wine and spirits trade. Also in Franschhoek are an International Marketing Manager and International Commercial Manager as well as the Regional Director for Africa/Middle East.
DGB wines are exported directly to over 70 countries and through third parties to a further 30 countries making us a truly global player in the world of wine. It is our strategy to build premium brands that are proudly South African. DGB has a strategy of identifying and appointing key importers and distributors around the world who share our values and beliefs and as partners we set about building our brands with the aim of becoming leaders in the various categories. DGB’s mantra is one of quality and not quantity and we believe in building premium brands that will do our country and company proud. We have a key focus in the on consumption trade where brands are first sampled and established.
